Debt Settlement is not negating your debt. Debt settlement represents a fair and equitable compromise, Not Abandonment. Christ has given us the example:

Debt settlement is not consolidation. Debt consolidation typically refers to only negotiating a reduction in interest rates, not the total balance of you credit card debt.
